About Us

Welcome to our school! The Queens School of Inquiry was founded in 2005 by Ms. Elizabeth Ophals. She believed that a student's curiosity should be at the center of inquiry and learning. We continue this legacy by offering rigorous learning opportunities, social & emotional support and access to early college opportunities.

Our Mission

At the Queens School of Inquiry (QSI), an Early College Initiative School, we are committed to providing a dynamic, student-centered, and mastery-based learning environment for students in grades 6 through 12. Our mission is to foster a safe and nurturing community where creativity, collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and inquiry thrive.

We believe in an inclusive approach that supports the whole child, empowering students to develop the skills and confidence needed for future success. Through our early college program, students have the opportunity to earn up to 62 tuition-free college credits while still in high school, preparing them for higher education and beyond.

At QSI, we cultivate compassionate, self-confident, and lifelong learners who are ready to embrace challenges and make meaningful contributions to the world.
