Lunar New Year is the beginning of a new year based on lunar calendars or, informally but more widely, lunisolar calendars.

In 2025, the Year of the Snake (which begins on 29 January) will be celebrated, and just like in previous years, there will be a full programme of activities to mark the occasion.
