Creativity
I give students regular opportunities to express their learning in creative ways, whether that means making a video, designing a game, writing a story, or building a model. By offering choice in how they present their ideas, I help students take ownership of their work and discover how creativity can be a powerful tool for learning and self-expression.

Problem Solving
In my classroom, students tackle real-world challenges through project-based learning. They work together to explore complex topics, ask meaningful questions, and develop solutions that reflect thoughtful reasoning and collaboration. I often incorporate games or simulations to make problem solving both engaging and accessible.

Communication
Through group work, project presentations, and reflective discussions, students develop strong communication skills in both speaking and writing. I encourage them to share their ideas clearly, listen to others respectfully, and give meaningful feedback—skills that are essential both in and out of the classroom.

Inquiry
Curiosity drives learning in my classroom. Students are encouraged to explore big questions, dive into research, and follow their own interests within the scope of each project. Whether they’re investigating historical events or designing solutions to current issues, inquiry is at the heart of everything we do.

Collaboration
My students are always working in teams, learning how to share responsibilities, value diverse perspectives, and support each other’s growth. I create structures that promote respectful collaboration and make space for every student to contribute. Group work is more than just a strategy—it’s a key part of our classroom culture.
